Kevin Dailey is a Grammy Award winning composer, producer, mixer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Between growing up under the constant influence of dad’s jazz records on the turntable to his grandfather's influence as a world music scholar, Dailey's internal musical library has been growing since childhood. This love for sonic diversity and his own musical education--coupled with his experience as a touring musician--contribute to his genre-less approach to production, composition, and his willingness to take risks with storytellers and artists of any medium.

A prolific composer, multi-instrumentalist, professor with a passion for discovery, conductor of ensembles large to small, and community arts leader - Grandpa’s house was spilling over with instruments, handwritten sheet music, a never-ending supply of shared compilation tapes and burned CD’s. Family gatherings were never without shared songs and a multi-gen jam session. He is remembered by countless for his civil rights stance, mentorship both in the academic and social spheres, and overwhelming zest for life.
Dad kept Tons of instruments around the house
Imparting his passion for creativity, immense lexicon of the popular songbook, and dedication to excellence, Dad left his mark on me and from an early age instilled a love for the diversity of the musical landscape and it’s craft. I was taught music theory as early as I memorized my ABC’s and haven’t stopped since!
